The short version: cupresto collects only what's needed to make the app work. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We use it to improve your brewing experience and operate the service.

How cupresto Uses Cookies

cupresto does not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or marketing purposes. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising cookies. The cookies set when you use cupresto are strictly necessary for the app and payment system to function.

The Cookies We Use

Session and Authentication Cookies Set by: Supabase (our database and authentication provider) Purpose: These cookies keep you logged in to your cupresto account. Without them, you would need to sign in every time you open the app or refresh the page. Duration: Until you sign out or your session expires — typically 7 days of inactivity. Can you disable them: No. These are essential for the app to function. Disabling them means you cannot use cupresto while signed in.

Payment Security Cookies Set by: Stripe (our payment processor) Purpose: Stripe sets cookies to detect fraud, prevent chargebacks, and secure your payment transactions. These cookies help Stripe verify that the person completing a payment is a legitimate user and not a bot or fraudulent actor. Duration: Up to 1 year for fraud prevention purposes. Can you disable them: Disabling these cookies may prevent you from completing a payment through cupresto. They are set by Stripe and governed by Stripe's own Cookie Policy at stripe.com/cookie-settings.

Preference Cookies Set by: cupresto Purpose: These remember your in-app preferences such as your chosen brew method, billing toggle selection, and display settings so you don't have to reset them each visit. Duration: Up to 12 months. Can you disable them: Yes, though some preferences may reset between sessions.

What We Do Not Use

To be completely clear, cupresto does not use:

Google Analytics or any analytics tracking cookies
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or any social media tracking pixels
Advertising cookies of any kind
Cross-site tracking cookies
Any cookies that track your behavior across other websites

Third-Party Cookies

Two third-party services set cookies when you use cupresto:

Supabase — our authentication and database provider. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Stripe — our payment processor. Their cookie policy is available at stripe.com/cookie-settings.

We have no control over the cookies set by these third parties. However, both are industry-standard, trusted services used by thousands of apps worldwide and they do not use your data for advertising.
